The Bus Services Bill

Open to all

Ian Morgan OBE

Throughout the history of British bus services there has been the conundrum as to whether services are a 'public service' or a commercial venture. Varying degrees of regulation have been imposed as a result. The conundrum remains today, with a commercial service needing to it in with local agendas and to carry many of its passengers without paying fares. Will the Bus Services Bill address these issues? What level of regulation may be imposed? And will the landscape of British bus services be changed yet again?

We hope to answer some of these questions with the very able help of the Chairman of the Confederation of Passenger Transport Ian Morgan OBE, who is also Deputy Chairman of Trentbarton's holding company, Wellglade Ltd.
