Joint meeting with the London Transport Museum Friends

Open to all

The pioneers of rural bus services: 1850 to 1920: Sam Mullins

Sam Mullins is Director & Chief Executive Officer of the London Transport Museum and has run the LT Museum very successfully for 28 years. He is well-known as a leading historian in all things London Transport. He is also President of the International Association of Transport & Communications Museums.

His topic complements that of our October meeting and is one of equal importanace. The introduction of bus services was to transform the lives of people living in rural areas and open up new possibilities for them, arguably even more so than for city dwellers.

The meeting will take place at The Cubic Theatre, London Transport Museum, Covent Garden Piazza, London WC2E 7BB at 18.15 for 18.30.
