We know that several Provincial Historical Research Group members make a weekend of the Members Day and so we arranged something extra for the Friday evening, starting at 19.30.
Our Journal Editor David Grimmett had prepared a publication to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the starting of the Essex Coast Express coach pool. This was soon followed by the formation of the East Anglian Express before the were merged, covering most coach services between London and the East Anglian coastal towns.
The venue was St Augustine's Church Hall, Bucklesham Road, Ipswich IP3 8TH (quite close to the Transport Museum).
